Called “Dakar’s answer to Black Star” by Time Out NY, the group was named best African act at the BBC Radio World Music Awards in 2004. The album “Boomerang” has spent months on the top of the European world music charts. Last year the band played at the Hollywood Bowl next to Nigerian superstar Femi Kuti and Mos Def.
